FAQ - You have the questions, we have the answers!
Make sure you the application is installed on your phone first of all: Head over to https://livekavi.com and download from the App Store if you have an iPhone or from the Google Play store if you have an Android.
Once installed, open the Kavi application and login with your Google or Apple account.
Once logged in, you’ll see a “+” sign at the bottom right of the Event List page – click this
You’ll be prompted to enter your Event Name.
Congrats! You’ve started a new event.
Kavi’s GPS feature should allow you to help pinpoint other attendee’s location one hour before, during and one hour after the event’s time. This is meant to help ease the efforts of finding one another for various reasons.
However, we’re sorry to hear it’s not working as it should for you, so let’s go through a check list:
- If the page is showing you “Too excited for the event?”, then everything is in good hands. We do not activate GPS until one hour before the event.
- If the event has started, but GPS is not updating properly, it’s likely the application’s permission to share your location is limited. Let’s address this:
- On Android: Open Settings, Search for “Kavi”, Go into “Kavi (App info) [May vary phone to phone], Click on Permissions, Click on Locations, and ensure Allow all the time is selected. It may then help to restart the application by quitting it and reopening.
- On Apple:
- If you have made it this far, the GPS page should at least be able to show other’s location. If your location is not updating to its latest location, there may be other battery saving settings affecting Kavi’s GPS updates.
